Cobscook Institute has dedicated IT staff to ensure your event’s technology needs are met.

Fiber Internet and Commercial Wi-Fi

Cobscook has a dedicated fiber optic internet connection, with speeds of 500 mbps up/down, and a strong, commercial mesh Wi-Fi network that can handle hundreds of devices. We also have redundancy and backups for internet and power outages.

With our network you won’t have to worry about slow internet browsing, buffering, or choppy video conferencing, with Wi-Fi available in all buildings and in all outdoor spaces on campus.

State-of-the-art Video Conferencing

Our Great Room and Project Room feature advanced video conferencing systems that work with Zoom, Google Meet, and other video conferencing platforms, complete with high quality cameras that zoom into an active speaker, whole-room ceiling microphones and speakers, and large, bright, high-res projection screens. We can also set up podium mics and other flexible audio sources and route them to the room and video conferencing.

We also offer live streaming between rooms, for large events of 100+ people that need overflow space for a keynote presentation.

Our systems also support live streaming to YouTube or Zoom Webinar.

These systems enable you as the event host to offer a great experience to remote participants who aren’t able to join your group in person, enabling them to see and hear everyone in the room clearly, and vice versa.

High Quality Presentation Tools

All our meeting spaces have available large, high quality screens, and high quality speakers for presentations or videos. Our Commons Great Room and Project Room also include smart boards, for drawing on-screen and moving through slides during presentations.

All our AV systems are compatible with any Mac or PC laptop, and are also compatible with most iOS and Android mobile devices. Adapters are available in every space.
