The Wabanaki future is one that centers resilience and adaptation. It is one that uses the land as a framework for relations, for the land is the decision making power and as we all become more attentive we listen more closely to the land, the water and are able to live in kinship with a multispecies world.
Wow. Great mission, wonderful commitment, talented staff & a beautiful campus/space. I was particularly touched with their zeal to work with, support & help the local Native American youth — something very dear to my heart.

Many people come to Cobscook to learn, but what separates Cobscook from a school or university is more than our unique location: it’s how we build our programs. It’s the central role that deep connection and community-building play in everything we do.
We are excited to announce the opening of our new Print Lab at Cobscook Institute! The Print Lab is housed in our Project Room and is equipped with wide format archival printer and a variety of photo and art papers.

In 2001, during a retreat dedicated to articulating the values of Cobscook, Wayne Newell, a co-founder, inspired the group to place “love” as the central hub of all other facets of our guiding values. We remember Wayne and other important friends recently departed in this edition.
We are excited to share with you highlights from 2022 and celebrate the accomplishments and growth of our students, community members, partners and team. From expanding partnerships and programming to launching new summer camps, and expanding our teams, it has been a year of growth, relationship building, and campus activation for Cobscook Institute. Trescott. Healthy Acadia, in partnership with Cobscook Institute, will offer a free, two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) on Monday and Tuesday, October 17-18, 2022. The class will meet in person at Cobscook Institue, Commissary Point Road, Trescott, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Cobscook Institute is pleased to announce that Shaun Haskins will be joining Cobscook staff as their third Co-Director/Director of Development, joining Cobscook’s two other Co-Directors to complete the executive leadership team as the organization lives into a new model of shared and distributed leadership.
