Anna Hodgkins

Anna Hodgkins is a lifelong birder and Mainer who decided (at age four) that her ultimate goal was to become an ornithologist. Unfortunately, upon graduating from the University of Maine with a degree in biology, she was seduced by the job security of the medical field. When not working as a RN, she can be found in literal fields (also bogs, forests, mudflats, etc) looking for birds. Anna has been doing the annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count since she was eight, and volunteered extensively for the recent Maine Breeding Bird Atlas. She has guided for the Acadia Birding Festival and helped lead trips for the Augusta Birding Club.
