Cobscook Institute was born from community co-creation.
In 1999, a group of community members from the Passamaquoddy Tribe, the Euro-American community, and our neighbors from nearby New Brunswick, Canada, asked the question, “What would improve life in our rural region?”
Twenty two years later we invited you into the vision. Our community generated such good ideas! Those ideas will inform a design process for programs in 2022 and beyond.

We’re doubling our pool of community scholarships for 2022 to realize our Someday at Cobscook dreams
As we embrace community driven program design, we maintain an Equity & Access Scholarship Fund that ensures every member of our community can access programming, regardless of ability to pay.
This year on #GivingTuesday, we raised $22,000 in program scholarship funds for 2022!
