Description: This half-day event provides the opportunity to experience a rich diversity of Down East habitat. Caravan in your own car around the inner parts of beautiful Cobscook Bay, ending at Gleason’s Cove in Perry. Stops will include Tide Mill Organic Farm, South Edmunds Road, Hobart Stream and Meadows, Pennamaquan River, and Sipp Bay Preserve. The many birds likely to be seen include warblers, Bobolinks, ducks, raptors, and more; and there will be an up-close visit to a Bald Eagle nesting site.
This event will conclude in Perry prior to the Head Harbor Passage boat tour that will depart from nearby Eastport, making the two events easy to combine into an all-day itinerary.

Directions: The Cobscook Institute is located at 10 Commissary Point Road in Trescott Township, between the towns of Whiting and Lubec, in the Cobscook Bay region of Downeast Maine. From Route 1 in Whiting, take Route 189 toward Lubec and Campobello Island, New Brunswick. After 1.8 miles, turn left on Commissary Point Road. The Cobscook Institute is the first driveway on the left.
