Description: We will meet at the Cobscook Institute and drive to the Dennison and Commissary Point Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). We will look for and identify the birds that inhabit these very special properties while also learning about their history and how the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife manages parts of them to benefit species such as the American Woodcock and Ruffed Grouse.

Directions: The Cobscook Institute is located at 10 Commissary Point Road in Trescott Township, between the towns of Whiting and Lubec, in the Cobscook Bay region of Downeast Maine. From Route 1 in Whiting, take Route 189 toward Lubec and Campobello Island, New Brunswick. After 1.8 miles, turn left on Commissary Point Road. The Cobscook Institute is the first driveway on the left.
